All ECMs (Entity in Charge of Maintenance) must ensure the safe operation of their vehicles, which is why they are required to monitor their suppliers on a regular basis. The CRSC has been successfully practising the idea of joint supplier monitoring for its members for 10 years. Sub-suppliers are monitored ‘centrally’ on behalf of several members, saving time and costs on both sides.

From June 2025, GÜTERBAHNEN members will also be able to benefit from this system at low cost, as the CRSC is cooperating with the GÜTERBAHNEN and integrating the ‘Cooperation Supplier Monitoring’ of the GÜTERBAHNEN into the ‘Supplier Monitoring’ of the CRSC.

Our common goal is to avoid the creation of duplicate structures within the industry and to increase the joint benefits for the members of both associations. Thanks to the new cooperation, GÜTERBAHNEN members can also use the CRSC network for supplier monitoring at a favourable price without having to be members of the CRSC themselves. Joint auditors for wagons and locomotives can thus use their expertise to the benefit of both associations.

In addition, the members of the CRSC and GÜTERBAHNEN will regularly exchange expertise - a win-win competence network.
